Tutorial:
The game is turn-based, with effects only triggering after you move, including damage, ability cooldowns, and effect durations.
Each character has a unique ability set to the space bar. The Traveler builds up a rage meter by breaking enemies, allowing her to absolutely destroy one after she reaches 4. The Alchemist can turn all adjacent items into a copy of the last item she killed every 20 turns. The Knight is extra beefy and can halve the amount of damage he takes for 5 turns every 30 turns.
Monsters spawn continuously in your inventory as you move, so seek out familiar enemies to bash them against for helpful buffs or to inflict debilitating curses. Your goal is to conquer as many floors as you can, leveling up as you go.
Monsters have a variety of effects, durability, damage they deal, and experience gains. Keep these in mind as you traverse each floor. Remember, you can check these attributes at any time by highlighting the monster in your inventory.
Items give rewards when they are killed, granting buffs and experience, as well as other effects to prepare you for the challenges ahead. Engaging them in battle will give you a better idea of what they are capable of. Walls can also be used to damage monsters.
When you gain enough experience to level up, you choose one of three upgrades, which persist as you move through floors. Reach the stairs on each level to advance.
